NDIS

How the NDIS works with us.

A plain-language guide to the funding side of things: which parts of your plan our services draw on, how plan management affects your choices, and how to get started.

General information only, current as a starting point. Always check your own plan and talk to your planner or support coordinator. Details on this page are to be verified with the client.

We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants.

Unique Disability Services is an NDIS provider. We are not an NDIS-registered provider, which means we support participants whose plans are plan-managed or self-managed.

If your plan is NDIA-managed (agency-managed), you can only use registered providers, so we would not be able to bill your plan directly. If you are not sure how your plan is managed, call us and we will help you work it out.

Getting started

From first call to first shift

1

Have a chat

Call us or send an enquiry. We check that what you need lines up with what your plan funds.

2

Service agreement

We put the supports, hours and rates in writing so everyone is clear. You sign when you are happy.

3

Meet your team, then begin

We introduce your workers, confirm the roster, and start. Reviews happen regularly, not just at plan renewal.

Common questions

No. Many participants come to us directly or through family. If you do have a support coordinator, we are happy to work alongside them.

Yes. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can use any provider. We will invoice you or your plan manager according to your service agreement.

We charge within the NDIS Price Guide. Your service agreement sets out the exact rates for each support type before anything starts. Please confirm whether to list your rates here, or keep this general.

We keep an eye on usage and flag it early. If your plan changes, we adjust the supports with you rather than waiting for a review date.

We can point you toward the right starting places for access and planning. Give us a call and we will talk you through it.

Still have questions about funding?

That is normal. Call us and we will work through your plan with you, no obligation.
